NY Dirt: New bill may give retail storefronts blocked by construction a lifeline
Storefronts stuck behind street construction and infrastructure projects may soon get some relief. A City Council committee advanced bills to give relief to businesses that saw losses due to obstructions outside of their control. Though funding would be allocated to commercial tenants, it could help keep businesses in the black, thus staying on top of rent payments.
