Manhattan’s luxury contracts begin October with a bang
Manhattan’s luxury contract activity sprang back to life last week, despite rising mortgage rates and frustrations over New York City’s controversial pied-à-terre tax. The borough kicked off October with 30 inked deals for homes asking $4 million or more, up from just 17 in the previous period, according to Olshan Realty’s weekly report. The total for the period, between Sept. 28 and Oct. 4, hit 30 for the first time since the beginning of June.
