Israeli bondholder demands GFI affiliate consider sale of Beekman, Seville hotels

GFI Capital’s troubles on the Israeli bond market are spilling over to the Beekman Hotel.  A bondholder of a British Virgin Islands company tied to GFI Capital is asking other bondholders to vote on a proposal that could lead to the sale of the Beekman Hotel in Lower Manhattan and the Hotel Seville NoMad as a way to repay over $60 million in debt.  The proposal comes just two weeks after the GFI Capital affiliate informed its Israeli bondholders it might not be able to repay its debt.
