Health care mogul Daryl Hagler to buy Camp Mesorah from bankruptcy
Daryl Hagler has emerged as a white knight for struggling landlords in recent years. He is now on the verge of becoming the savior of a popular summer camp in upstate New York. Hagler’s entity, DHAN Masores, offered $5.6 million to acquire Camp Mesorah, an Orthodox Jewish summer camp in Guilford, New York, from Simad Holdings. Simad, the owner of 30 camps, is selling its camps through bankruptcy. Hagler previously provided the camp with debtor-in-possession financing to sustain operations, allowing him to make a credit bid.
