Harry Macklowe moves forward on latest condo project
Harry Macklowe’s next small-scale luxury condominium development is taking shape on the Upper East Side. Macklowe Properties filed permits to redevelop the 12-story, 33-unit rental at 809 Madison Avenue into a 14-story, 12-unit condo building, Crain’s reported. The project is estimated to cost $12 million, though that seems likely to rise. The property, alternatively addressed at 30 East 68th Street, will include retail space on the ground floor.
