Brooklyn luxury contracts crawl toward end of summer

For the second straight week, Brooklyn’s luxury contracts failed to crack double-digit contract signings.  The borough notched seven contracts for homes asking at least $2 million from Aug. 31 to Sep. 6, according to Compass’ weekly report on Brooklyn’s luxury market. Total contract volume was $24 million.  The week heading into Labor Day weekend is one of the slowest weeks of the year in New York City, where luxury buyers typically jetset out of the city for one last summer hurrah.
