Weekend Recap: My Year in Review
Weekend Recap: My Year in Review To me, the truth matters. My mission is to break through the noise and provide clarity through context. 2024: My Year in Review What. A. Year. For me, 2024 was one of the best years of my life: deeply rewarding, stimulating, challenging, and filled with fun opportunities. To me, the truth matters. My mission is to break through the noise and provide clarity through context. I believe that objective, data-driven insights are critical to understanding the market and making better decisions -- and that has guided my work over the year. My Highlights of 2024 Real Estate Innovation Hub I launched my biggest new project in years, The Real Estate Innovation Hub: a community of forward-thinking industry leaders centered around innovative in-person events and a powerful network. Keynote Presentations I delivered a small number of energetic presentations, including Probably at Inman. I also spread my message to "Get Boring" at Builder 100, Blueprint, and Cupola in Brazil! Deep Insights on Portals I produced a lot of expert analysis on real estate portals, including The Truth About Traffic, The Pricing Power of Portals, and Chess Without Checkmate: The Portal Wars. The Podcast Continues The parade of amazing guests on my podcast continues, with Jeremy Wacksman, Damian Eales, Tamir Poleg, Wendy Forsythe, and many more seasoned executives and entrepreneurs! Research on Brokerages I published smart, data-driven insights on the evolution of brokerage models: Agent Migration and the Power of New, Learning From A New Generation of Brokerages, and Cash Flows of the Rich and Famous. My University Class I welcomed over 30 world-class guest speakers to my real estate tech class at the University of Colorado Boulder. These leaders shared invaluable insights and life experiences with my students. Looking Ahead to '25 For the year ahead I'm focused on producing meaningful work and going on new adventures. I'll continue creating something unique with The Real Estate Innovation Hub, and travel internationally to take my podcast on the road, meet new people, and expand my perspective. I'm grateful for your continued support of my work. Truly, my biggest highlight is the amazing people I get to meet and spend time with. You're the best. See you in 2025!
