“Wolf of Wall Street” Long Island mansion sells for $7M

Jordan Belfort’s former Long Island mansion has found a new owner.  A Staten Island couple paid $6.9 million in an off-market deal for the sprawling property at 5 Pin Oak Court in Glen Head, according to Douglas Elliman’s Joe Scavo, who represented the sellers.  Belfort — the stockbroker-turned-fraudster who inspired Martin Scorsese’s 2013 film “The Wolf of Wall Street” — lived in the 8,700-square-foot home with his wife, Nadine Macaluso, during the height of his career in the 1990s.  The federal government seized the property and sold it in 2001, two years after he was convicted of securities fraud.
